Preparation Guide
- Rinse idli rava thoroughly. Soak for 6 hours.
- Open pan (optional pre-cook): Boil water (3 cups) & idli rava (1 cup). Cook uncovered for 5 minutes on medium heat. Drain, cool & use in batter.
- Closed pan: Soak as above, drain lightly. Mix with wet ground urad dal & ferment 6-8 hours covered. Steam in idli molds for 10-12 mins.
- Idli rava yields softer idlis when fermented properly in a warm spot.
